Workshop on “Hands on with Medical Instruments and Signal Processing Techniques"

The purpose of the workshop is to provide fundamental principles and hands on training of different diagnostic and therapeutic instruments along with basic knowledge of Digital Signal Processing using MATLAB.

The audience were final semester diploma Biomedical Engineering 43 students from Government Polytechnic, Gandhinagar along with three faculty members – Prof. Maitri Dave, Prof. H. V. Rupala and Prof. R. H. Vasava.

Two expert sessions were conducted during the workshop. First session was conducted by Prof. H. A. Patel – HOD BME on Fundamentals of Signal Processing using MATLAB, with special focus on core topics such as Sampling Theorem, Reconstruction and Aliasing, Convolution & Correlation, Time Domain & Frequency domain analysis fundamentals.

The second session was conducted by Mr. T. V. Bhatt – Asst. Prof. BME which covers different diagnostic & therapeutic instruments instruments like Spirometer, Ultrasonic Blood Flow Meter, Pulse Oxymeter, Ventilator, Anaesthesia Station, Spirometer etc.

At the end of workshop, certificates were distributed to the students and concluded with vote of thanks and group photograph.
