| NSS CAMP 2009 |

Under the inspiration of honorable Vice Chancellor of Ganpat University Prof. P. I. Patel and under the motivation of our beloved Principal Dr. J. L. Juneja, an NSS camp was organized at Village Saladi, Ta & Dist. Mehsana during 02.02.2009 to 11.02.2009 under the guidance of Programme Officer Mr. J. J. Patel, with the team of 50 students of U. V. Patel College of Engineering and performed excellent work with the following major activities

Loksmpark (Public Contact):
Data regarding the problems in the field of agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Health of Village dwellers and education were collected and they were solved by the experts of respective fields.
|
Campaign to make the society free from addiction:
Through this activity our team convinced 40 to 50 villagers to give up the addiction.
|

|
Public Awareness:
By magic show it was tried to remove the blind faith prevailing among the villagers.
|
Cleanliness Campaign:
The public places of the village were cleaned by the students with teamwork spirit.

|
Blood Donation Camp:
During the NSS camp a blood donation programme was organized with Prathma Blood Bank, Ahmedabad and 51 bottles were collected.
|
Diagnosis Camp/Eye Check Up
Camp In this activity 170 villagers got the benefit of diagnosis of different diseases with the co-operation of Health Office, Mehsana and 210 villagers got benefited of Eye check up through computerized eye checking machine with the co-operation of Sarswati Optical, Mehsana.

Cultural Activity/Educational Movie Show:
During this NSS camp every night was scheduled for the cultural activities by the camp cadets as well as the students of village schools

Veterinary Camp:
Under the veterinary camp the 60 milky animals (Cows and Buffalos) were checked up for disease with the co-operation of Veterinary Polyclinic, Lakhvad, Dist. Mehsana.
Computer Education:
Under this programme of 10 days a team of 7 students trained the teachers of primary school and high school of the village Saladi in basic of computer.
AIDS Awareness Camp:
The camp is organized with the co-operation of Young Citizen of India, Mehsana.
